The Masquerade – the Masked Procession

14.Feb

The Masquerade – the Masked Procession is traditionally organised by the Museum of Vojvodina for the purpose of nurturing the customs related to “Bele poklade” (traditional Slavic carnival). “Bele poklade” are organised on the last day of “Bela nedelja” (“White week”) – the last Sunday before the Easter fast. The procession gathers up at the plateau in front of the Museum of Vojvodina (Dunavska 37), from where it marches through the city centre up to Dunavski (Danube) Park. The Danube Park is the venue of the best masks selection. The most successful masks are awarded in categories for children, adult, group masks and the award for the best presentation.

Venue: Old city core
