In one place, the Festival brings together games and gaming equipment manufacturers, social games clubs, cosplayers, professional E-sport teams and players, “gaming youtubers” and everything else that is accompanying this growing industry. The basic idea of the Gaming OpeNS is to open up the entire “gaming” industry and everything that accompanies it to the general public on one weekend. Novi Sad is the city with the most developed subculture of players and fans of social and electronic games in Serbia, and this is not known to the wider community. Therefore, the Festival brought together a group of young people who professionally deal with the various gaming sub-genres in the city – from “board” games, via electronic to the game’s creators. The entire concept of the Gaming OpeNS is conceived so that associations and players’ clubs organise tournaments, tribunes, and tours with guides for all Novi Sad people during the “Open Doors Day”. The idea is that citizens of Novi Sad should get involved in the games. Those who visit all the sites shall be offered not only the games and fun but also various rewards.
