Festival of Street Musicians is the event that gathers artists from all over the world, both professionals and self-taught ones. It is held in Novi Sad every year during the first week of September and it is the only festival of this type in Serbia. The Festival gathers mainly musicians, but there are also dancers, theatre groups, performers, and acrobats and it represents a large outdoor artistic workshop where artists and audience participate equally. The programmes within the Festival of Street Musicians are held at several sites at the same time. In 2016 the venue of the Festival of Street Musicians moved to the Suburbium of the Petrovaradin Fortress, and in 2017 it merged with several other festivals under the joint title of “Gradić Fest” with the common aim to bring this site to life again. In addition to the previous music and artistic concept, a new concept of the festival also includes the film programme of the Cinema City Festival, Pop-up parties organised by Berberaja and Public P, and extreme sports of the AAaaa Festival.
