Exit is an award-winning summer music festival. It is held annually at the Petrovaredin Fortress in the city of Novi Sad (Serbia), which is considered by many as one of the best festival venues in the world. EXIT was officially proclaimed as the ‘Best Major European festival’ at the EU Festival Awards 2014. More than 620.000 people voted among 360 festivals from 34 countries.
EXIT is unique in the festival world as it started as a student movement fighting for peace and democracy in Serbia and the Balkans. Even today, EXIT has a strong social mission and it is run by a non-profit organisation.
More than 2,5 million people from over 60 countries around the world have visited the festival By far. The festival hosted world-renowned performers like The Prodigy, Moby, Jamiroquai, Snoop Dogg, Faith No More, Duran Duran, Kom, Damon Albam, Robert Plant, Skdllex, Cad Cox, Avicii, Kraftwerk, Arctic Monkeys, Beastie Boys, David Guetta, Afrojack, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Pet Shop Boys, Guns N. Roses, Queens Of The Stone Age, Pulp, Franz Ferdinand, Billy Idol, logy and the Stooges, Manic Street Preachers, New Order, Placebo, Erykah Badu, Underworld, Fedde Le Grand, Wu-Tang Clan, The White Stripes, Massive Attack, Cypress Hill and many others.
Edt won the Best Major European Festival Award’ on European Festival Awards 2013 as well as the ‘Best European Festival’ award at the UK Festival Awards in 2007. It was ranked top 10 best major festivals at European Festival Awards 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 and one of the 10 Best Overseas Festival at UK Festival Awards 2014.
